Clinical Features and Radiographic Aspects of Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the Gnathic Bones

چکیده
This integrative review aimed to discuss the clinical features and imaging aspects of squamous cell carcinoma in gnathic bones on panoramic radiographs cone-beam computed tomography. The electronic search was conducted PubMed, Embase, Scopus using keywords tomography, radiography, dentomaxillofacial complex, oral carcinoma. Studies between 2012 2022, report radiography tomography were selected. initial found 375 articles, leaving 171 after excluding duplicates. Eighteen studies met inclusion criteria, bringing together a total twenty cases. Swelling pain are common features. In most cases, mandible; borders poorly defined with invasive aspects; internal structure radiolucent/hypodense some had radiopaque flecks. lesion causes structures destroyed like adjacent bone, alveolar process, border mandibular canal, ramus mandible. image raised this review: as large areas osteolysis interspersed an irregular pattern radiopaque/hyperdense flakes, imprecise limits borders, causing significant destruction structures, can be diagnostic hypothesis. these we recommend urgency completing diagnosis. provide information that leads suspicion malignant lesion, but provides real dimension repercussion lesion.

Relationship between the Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinase and Clinicopathologic Features in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Introduction: Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity is one of the most important and common types of head and neck malignancy, with an estimated rate of 4% among all human malignancies. The aim of this study was to determine the association between expression of matrix metalloproteinase 2 and 9 and the clinicopathological features of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Materials and Met...
متن کاملTongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Clinical Study
Background and Objectives: Squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue (SCCOT) is the most common malignant neoplasm in oral cavity. At the time of the diagnosis of SCCOT regional metastases with a high mortality rate are common, which is due to the extensive lymphatic system drainage of the tongue. Although the level of healthcare has significantly improved, the survival rate is still low with an...
متن کاملA study on the relationship between clinical features with Ki67 expression and eosinophil cells infiltration in oral squamous cell carcinoma
Background :Cell proliferation is one of the most critical factors in metastasis and prognosis of the malignant tumors.Recent investigations show that the eosinophil granolosytes have an important role in developing of malignant tumors. The relation between cell proliferation and eosinophilic infiltration in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCS) with prognosis is unclear. The aim of this study w...
متن کاملThe Usefulness of CD10 in Distinguishing between Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background & Objectives: CD10 is a cell surface enzyme with metalloendopeptidase activity, also known as Common Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Antigen, which mainly serves as a marker for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). To date and to the best of our knowledge, only few comparative immunohistochemical studies have assessed CD10 expression in cutaneous epithelial neoplasms. Our goal was to d...
متن کاملCircRNA_0109291 regulates cell growth and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance
Objective(s): Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a new class of non-coding RNAs, have emerged as important regulators during tumorigenesis. However, the functions of circRNAs have not been completely clarified in the progression of cancers. In our study, a novel circRNA hsa_circ_0109291 was investigated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and cell lines. Materials and Methods: The expression ...
